About Me: Hi, I am Honey. I
am a Burlesque performer and belly dancer.
As a little girl, I loved to look at photographs of film star; I
dreamt of slipping into their shoes and sashaying in their
beautiful gowns. I was lucky enough to grow up in a household
where dancing and performing were part of the fabric of life. My
love for the glamour of the vintage style is still as strong;
only now I can customise my clothes without having to rely on the
assistance of an adult to wield the scissors and extract my
fingers from glue and sequins!
This is my début as an Hourglass Girl. I am so pleased with
the pictures. As if being pampered, coiffed and beautifully
made-up was not enough – I had the most wonderful chilled-out day
of tea drinking and posing. Perfect. With my 20’s a little way behind me, I am
more comfortable with my body than ever
before. I have learnt to cherish the bits that don’t necessarily
conform to what I wish – as well as those that do. Becoming an
Hourglass Girl is a celebration of being a woman. Certainly the
opportunity to wrap my curves in corsets, feathers and sparkles
is not one to be passed up. Even better, I can keep the photos
forever as a memento of this really fantastic time in my life.
