I was browsing www.mytights.com a short while ago and see they have a section devoted to tights for men. I am intrigued to know whether any of your men do or would wear tights, especially ones designed for men with a front opening?

I have to be honest and say I do occasionally wear a pair of my g'f's 50 denier tights when I go marshalling in the winter months as they help to keep my lower back, legs and feet warm under all the fireproof undies I wear.

An ex boyfriend of mine, who was a very macho scaffolder used to wear them in the winter.  He used to keep pretty quiet about it when he was with his friends though.

Makes perfect sense to me and "keeps your kidneys warm"

Well as I said, I only wear them in the winter as I figure if they keep women warm they do the same for men. I've never seen ones made espacially for men though with a front opening.

I don't wear tights, now I know where to get decent stockings from! I hate the way tights dig into my stomach.  Lips Sealed

There  there are a few companies who make thicker tights to be worn in the way Stephen says, a sort of modern day equivalent to the knitted wool training tight I wore as a cyclist in my youth.
There have been campaigns started by a few men to encourage  hosiery companies to make sheer tights for men less than 20 denier.
Hosiery companies always say there is not a big enough to make it economically viable, However it has been suggested that main hosiery companies like Sara Lee corporation ( pretty Polly Aristoc) do not want to enter this area in fear of discouraging ladies from buying there tights.
It has also be suggested that some hosiery companies like Wolford and levante are only too aware of this potenital marked and have delidratly and quiety increased there sizing to accomadate men.
I have more info on this subject here http://inspiration-from-vintage.info/hosiery/pantyhose_today.htm
