I ve just discovered this club in Birmingham, it looks quite an interesting mix of burlesque and fetish.
Has anyone been?
I quite fancy going next week and would be keen to hear any feedback.
Thanks

I haven't been. I'm not really into fetish, though, to be honest!

I thought quick up date just to finish off this topic was in order.

H n H is really a burlesque evening with the crowd in a mix of goth, burlesque, latex, period evening wear.
This in my opinion is not a fetish club-by London standards anyway.Nothing scary happening in dark corners!

Its very friendly and another jolly good reason to get a corset on, and boy were there of ladies(and chaps) in them.

Oh that's good to know! I wonder if they said it was fetish to appeal to a certain crowd?

Yes it could be, it was definately TV friendly and i think the two interests are tolerant of each other so it helps to encourage a full crowd.
There wasn t anything happening that may offend- not last weekend anyway.
Next month Torture Garden will be there and a fashion show so that may change its direction slightly. I guess i ll see next month! x

I went to see Michael Clark at the Barbican last November and Torture Garden just happened to be having some sort of event in the foyer of the Barbican.  It was mostly circus/trapeze stuff and music with some of the audience dressed up but it was very amusingly incongruous to see the gimps crawling around the Barbican Centre on their leads  Cheesy

Yes they certainly put on a good show- id recommend TGs for people watching alone, you certaining dont need to be into the 'playing' scene to enjoy the night

Hey Babykitten, a little off topic but I was at that performance too! Afraid we couldn't stay for long to see the Torture Garden stuff as we live out in the sticks and had a train to catch. Have you seen many of his works? I have been completely obsessed with him for nigh on 20 years now and have caught all his shows including the ones with Mark E Smith from The Fall  Smiley

I was in the TG crowd that night!  My friend's band were playing.

Went to see the Michael Clark as well - but on a different day, first time I'd seen any of his work.

Isn't it just!  It was a real last minute thing for me, I only found out a couple of days before that Michael Clark was doing a show.  I used to be a big fan of his in the 80s.  Is your friend in Urban Voodoo Machine?  They're a great band.
